Rheological Behavior of Polyacrylic Acid Grafted Cellulose Nanocrystals

Conducted experiments under a PhD Candidate to contribute to their thesis and discovered a relationship between pH and rotational and translational diffusivity of cellulose nanocrystals. Discovered correlation between gelation and weight percentage as pH of system increased through use of Dynamic Light Scattering Equipment and a Zetasizer. Assisted PhD candidate with their own experiments and gained understanding of real-world applications of polymers. Cellulose nanocrystals in this gelation regime can be used in specific in vivo drug delivery systems and the work conducted contributes to that. (Some images are not mine.
